Whilst away, I visited Lydford Gorge. I am so pleased I did. It was the most amazing place I have had the pleasure to visit and walk in for a long, long, time. If you've never visited, then next time you are in Devon, recommend you go.

The woodland is ancient, and walking around it, it has a magical feel about it. I took so many photo's at one point I was worried that I had almost used up all my battery. There is a wonderful mystical energy there and I could imagine mystical creatures peering from the folliage watching me go by.

What made the place even more amazing for me was the river that runs through the gorge. I definately seem to have an affinity with water - be it a river or the sea. I find it soothing - it does seem to wash away my worries - and I don't even need to get wet!

But then, I love the sea. Yesterday I spent an age walking up and down the beach at Bude and Widemouth Bay. The sun came out to play but even if it didn't, it wouldn't have spoilt my enjoyment. I could become a beach bum far too easily. Hours were spent just walking, looking at the rock pools and being amazed by all the different patterns on the pebbles.

So, the past couple of days, I've been in my heaven. The Universe was kind to me weather wise and I have come back refreshed. Just have to work out how I can move to be closer to the sea.
