Well, I'm back from my little trip. Feeling a bit knackered from all the driving and walking that I've done, but importantly, had a great time! Managed to dodge all the showers. Whilst at Avebury on Monday, it was dry. As soon as I got into the car to drive to Devon and the campsite, the heavans opened up. At one point the rain was so hard and driving that couldn't see the road or where I was going. Lasted about 10 minutes but it was the scariest 10 minutes I've had!! When I got to the campsite, it stopped raining and only started again that evening once I was tucked up in my sleeping bag. For the rest of the time, managed to dodge showers and even had bright sunshine!
The campsite - Hole Station - was brilliant. They only have about 12/13 pitches and the camping is to help the owners fund the management of the woodland (45 acres of meadow and woodland). The thing that struck me when I first arrived was how quite it was (in terms of people, not birds)

The facilities are basic but the cleanest I've seen and they even have compost toilets.

I'd definately recommend the campsite and I'm sure I'll be visiting again. (I'll tell you about the rest of my trip in later blogs).
